Colonel March Investigates Reviews

Three pilot episodes of the British television series "Colonel March of Scotland Yard" were put together and theatrically released as this film. Karloff stars (with a distinguished-looking black eye patch and cloak) as the head of the Department of Queer Complaints at Scotland Yard. It is his job to investigate any unusual cases that are beyond the realm of routine criminal activities. During the course of the film, he solves a bank robbery (for which an innocent man was framed) and two murders involving elaborate tricks and disguises. The scripts are nothing special, but Karloff is a joy to watch, as usual.
