Cock of the Air Reviews

When temperamental French actress Dove declares that she is not receiving enough adoration from the WW I Allies, the powers that be arrange a meeting in Italy between the flamboyant Dove and Army charmer Morris. At first angered by their manipulated encounter, the couple slowly but surely fall in love. Pleasant romantic comedy that uses its nationality-bonding thematics in a heartfelt way. Dove, who had had a brief affair with millionaire producer Hughes--he had even paid for her divorce from director Irving Willat in 1931--was rewarded for her affections with a lead in this film and another, THE AGE OF LOVE.
