Children of the Wild Reviews

A Rin-Tin-Tin-like story about a police dog that is wrongly blamed for someone's death. When a child is--improbably--carried off to an eagles' nest, Silver Wolf saves the day. He fights Goldie and rescues the child with everything ending happily. The kids undoubtedly will love this action piece. The humans aren't nearly as good in this film as the animals are, but that really doesn't matter. Both the dog and eagle were well trained for the exciting climax. There are a number of other good action sequences including a forest fire. Mason is outstanding as the animal-hating murderer who has alibied his crime by throwing suspicion on the dog, and L'Estrange is a capable child actress, despite being the producer's daughter.
