Arliss adds to his collection of historical impersonations here by becoming the shrewd, manipulative prime minister to Louis XIII. Excellent production values and supporting cast make this one worth seeing. Nunnally Johnson collaborated on the screenplay but asked to have his name removed when Arliss made some changes in the script.
