Boy of the Streets Reviews

Street punk Cooper, leader of a rebellious gang, plots to ease himself into the graft and corruption of a local branch of the city government. When a gangster's bullet hits him, Cooper wises up to the dangers of crime and decides to lead a good life with sweetheart O'Connor at his side. Intended to be a study of street life and its effects on a tough city boy, the film manages to capture the seedy atmosphere and harsh realities of the urban environment, but fails to breathe life into its characters. Cooper tries to bring some depth to his rough teen, but the script and direction hamper one of the best child actors who ever appeared on screen.
