Donlevy is an auto racer who gets a job as a cabbie. The cab company is being pressured by racketeer MacLane, who is trying to take over all the taxi operations in the city. He frames anyone who stands in his way by planting stolen goods in their cabs. His moll, Hudson, teams up with Donlevy to get the evidence to put MacLane away.
