A young waitress at a roadside café causes trouble in a rocky marriage when the husband takes a liking to the new arrival. The husband's wife and co-owner of the café hires the waitress' boyfriend as a distraction, but when the gambling husband wins big in the lottery, he suddenly has all eyes on him.

Restaurant owner Dorn gets a yearning for pretty waitress Grahame and contemplates leaving his wife, Astor. When Astor exposes the girl as a money-hungry tramp, Dorn wises up and Grahame is forced to leave town with boy friend Thompson. Familiar, uninspired middle-age lust story featuring an early, unrefined performance from Grahame and a very smart, textured one from Astor.
