Battle of Rogue River Reviews

Another of Katzman's cheapies; this time it's Cowboys and Indians rather than Bowery Boys and Cops. Montgomery is a no-nonsense martinet in the cavalry. His job is to bring some sort of tranquility to the area around Rogue River. Denning is the heavy; he leads a group of villains who try to keep the Injuns wearing warpaint so the rich Oregon mineral lands can be grabbed off by greedy cohorts. There are no surprises in this ably directed film (by Castle, who went on to become a major force in low-budget horror movies), and it will please all but the discriminating.
