Fatal Attraction -- Agnes befriends the unwitting wife -- meets Hannibal -- Agnes bites out the tongue of a horny doctor and kills a variety of hospital workers to steal their uniforms in her escape -- in this mildly passable B-grade horror offering. The chills are genuine as Agnes, expertly portrayed by the lovely Patsy Kensit, is a truly frightening character and Dr. Campbell (a very doctor-like Patrick Muldoon) doesn't do anything too boneheaded to seal his fate. The brief flashback scenes to the 19th century add considerably to an otherwise standard melodrama-with-gore. If you can overlook the filmmakers' fudging of Agnes' first appearance, from "10 years earlier" and played by a different actress, Hell's Gate won't be too much of a disappointment.
