A lavish Greek production given to Sophocles' tragedy set in Thebes. The story concerns Antigone (Papas) who defies the King after her two brothers are killed in a fight to determine which of them will be next in line for the throne. Antigone is sentenced to death and buried alive in a cave. Impeccable treatment of the classic Greek tale with an outstanding performance by Papas.
