Adventures of a Rookie Reviews

Fairly dumb portrait of three young men drafted from various walks of life--performer Brown from a nightclub floor; Carney, a hulking slug, from a shipping room; and Martin from the rich surroundings of his family mansion--and their hijinks at training camp. Most of the jokes are puerile, and the sight gags and pratfalls are not worth a button on Chester Conklin's vest. RKO thought to pair Brown and Carney in a series of B comedies, but this first effort failed so miserably that executives abandoned the idea.
