A Time to Sing Reviews

A dull, tiring tale about a musician-songwriter, in this case Hank Williams, Jr., who goes against the wishes of the uncle who raised him and devotes his life to music. It seems that somewhere back in the mysterious past his mother was also a singer, who died when running off with another musician. This is revealed to the young Williams, along with the knowledge that there is a lot of money to be made if you can strum a few chords and sing with a slight tremble in your voice. Songs include "The Humming Bird," "It's All Over But the Crying," "Rock in My Shoe" (Hank Williams, Jr.), "A Man Is on His Own" (John Scoggins, Williams, Jr.), "Money Can't Buy Happiness," "Old Before My Time" (Steve Karliski), "Next Time I Say Goodbye, I'm Leaving" (Larry Kusik, Eddie Snyder), and "A Time to Sing" (Scoggins).
