22 Episodes 2012 - 2013
Season 24 kicks off with a star-studded premiere that brings back Sarah Michelle Gellar, Anne Hathaway, Zooey Deschanel, Natalie Portman and Sarah Silverman as the past girlfriends of Bart, who wants to know why his relationships never work out. (Deschanel even returns for a third appearance as his love interest later this season, a rarity for a show that typically prides itself on its lack of continuity.) Elsewhere, the creative staff riff on current events and trends: Homer gets a tablet computer and joins a survivalist group who are preparing for the collapse of society, while Springfield is invaded by hipsters.
