22 Episodes 2011 - 2012
"The Simpsons" has had its fair share of unusual episodes over the years, but Season 23 features possibly its strangest installment yet: "Moe Goes From Rags to Riches," which tells the long history of Moe's bar rag from medieval times to the present day (and with Jeremy Irons providing the mellifluous voice of the rag, no less). Another high-concept episode spoofs the movie "Inception," as the Simpsons family enter Homer's dreams in order to find out why he's wetting the bed. It's also a season with a number of great Lisa stories: She writes a young-adult novel, founds an online social network, falls for an intellectual (Michael Cera) and receives some life advice from Lady Gaga in the finale.
