20 Episodes 2007 - 2008
Season 19 contains the episode "That 90s Show," which revolves around a surreal paradox: Because the show's characters never age, a flashback to Homer and Marge's courtship now takes place in the early 1990s, despite the fact that a Season 2 episode had them first meeting in 1974! The Emmy-winning "Eternal Moonshine of the Simpson Mind" provides a more-successful example of playing around with time, as Homer attempts to piece together his memories of a night of heavy drinking. High-profile celebrity guests this season include Stephen Colbert as a life coach, Steve Buscemi as a convict whom Marge befriends and Zooey Deschanel as the daughter of local hillbilly Cletus.
