22 Episodes 2001 - 2002
Season 13 finds the creative staff trying to keep up with a changing culture: Homer becomes addicted to medical marijuana, Moe renovates his bar to appeal to hipsters and Bart starts an online comic based on his father. On the sillier side of things, the episode "Tales From the Public Domain" takes the stories of Odysseus, Joan of Arc and Hamlet and plugs members of the Simpsons family into them. Prominent guest stars this season include Reese Witherspoon, who voices a girl both Bart and his best friend Milhouse fall for, and Richard Gere, who gives spiritual advice to Lisa after she decides to convert to Buddhism.
