Question: Now that Happy Endings and Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 have been banished to Sundays nights to wither away, isn't this a lesson we all saw coming by piling on sitcoms against each other on Tuesdays? I can potentially see ABC saving Happy Endings to prolong its syndication opportunities, but both shows were buried without much support (premiering in late October) and ABC seems to have gone down the Cougar Town route again. Apart from protected golden child Modern Family and reliable The Middle, ABC has a poor record of keeping their sitcoms on the air over the last several years, and now we have two more to add to the long list here. It's only a matter of time before Suburgatory enjoys a similar fate. Throwing them opposite hot thing New Girl and a Matthew Perry vehicle Go On seemed foolish on ABC's part.

Entourage, HBOFinale airs Sunday, Sept. 2, at 10 pm/ET"Medellin" — triumph or fiasco? That's the question that Entourage has been asking during its fourth season, which began with prettyboy movie star Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) on the set of the violent Spanish-language film about drug lord Pablo Escobar. "We'll get lots of answers," promises exec producer Doug Ellin. The season finale was shot on location at the Cannes Film Festival last May. "Scenes took place live during the Ocean's Thirteen premiere, so our guys had to get their lines down while crowds were screaming." Post-finale, Entourage goes on hiatus until June. And then? "I have not a single idea," says Ellin, laughing.

It's that time of year... casts are crossing their fingers to see if they're needed for another season, finales are looming with some questions answered and others trailing off into frustrating cliff-hangers, and a whole new cycle of shows promises to debut, return and get audiences to let go of present story lines and latch onto new ones. Conan's Jim Gaffigan Is a Pale Force to Be Reckoned With!
If you haven't watched Late Night with Conan O'Brien lately, you might not know that comedian Jim Gaffigan and his brother-in-law, cartoonist Paul Noth, have created a bit of a following with their Pale Force shorts. In fact, the animated adventures of Gaffigan as a pallid superhero and O'Brien as his whining sidekick so impressed NBC that they ordered 20 episodes to air on Late Night before being made downloadable by cell phone on the Peacock's website.
