Save! Idol history was made last week when Simon and Co. used their sole judges' save on Matt Giraud, rescuing the contestant from elimination. Tonight the still-standing Matt joins his six fellow contestants to render songs from the disco genre. (Polyester leisure suits, platform shoes and an overgrowth of chest hair are permitted.) The stakes are high: Because of last week's save, two finalists will be eliminated in tomorrow night's results show. Tomorrow night also features Season 7's David Archuleta performing "A Little Too Not Over You," plus disco luminaries Harry Wayne "KC" Casey (of KC and the Sunshine Band), Thelma Houston and Freda Payne delivering a medley of genre gems. —Dean Maurer

With her bizarre link to John Scott's memories, Olivia's subconscious adventures are well-documented, but tonight she goes on another wild ride when, while sleeping in Boston, she dreams of a simultaneous, real-life suicide at New York City's Grand Central station. And considering tonight's episode is written and directed by Akiva Goldsman, the Oscar-winning scribe of A Beautiful Mind, whatever mental mysteries await her could be the strangest ones yet. —Joe Friedrich

The sitcom — which lovingly tips its cap to Chicago, sports and the uneven quirks of romance and friendship — reaches the middle innings with the season's fourth episode. It gets windier in the Windy City when PJ (Jordana Spiro, who continues to be series MVP with her charm and spunk) teams up with the gang for their annual board-game contest. But Bobby throws PJ a curve when he criticizes her for being too competitive. Elsewhere, writer Stephanie turns to the boys as her research guinea pigs for an article that probes how men behave without women in their midst. —Dean Maurer

Sam is having a devil of a time winning his soul back from you-know-who, but if Alan (Sean Patrick Thomas) can do it, then why can't he? Alan wants to relocate to the Vatican, where the sacred turf will keep him safe from Satan, and he wants Sam to help him. Sam agrees, but only if Alan comes clean about how he won back his soul. —Tim Holland
The Phone

Take Amazing Race and combine it with The Bourne Identity, and you kind of get the idea of this intense new game show (exec produced by Justin Timberlake), which thrusts unsuspecting players in a high-stakes race for $50,000. In the premiere, four strangers are paired up after a mysterious caller informs them that a serial bomber is targeting Seattle. They'll race against time — and each other — to complete a series of missions and stop him before he strikes again. The scenarios are fictional, but the mental and physical challenges that test the players' character and morale prove to be shockingly real. —Karen Andzejewicz
