Michonne Looks Fierce in Poster for Danai Gurira's Final The Walking Dead Season

AMC released the official key art for Season 10 of The Walking Dead on Thursday, and it features Daryl (Norman Reedus), Carol (Melissa McBride), and Michonne (Danai Gurira) looking ready for battle.

The upcoming season of the long-running drama will be Gurira's last. At San Diego Comic-Con in July, the actress confirmed that she will leave The Walking Dead during Season 10, saying, "This has been one of the purest joys of my life to play this role."

Picking up several months after the events of the finale, Season 10 will be a period of change now that spring has arrived. After crossing over into Whisper territory, the group now find themselves dealing with the aftermath of Alpha's menacing display of power. These resilient survivors will spend this season building themselves back up as a militia-style fighting force. They've got one hell of a fight ahead of them, though, now that the Whispers are backed by a massive horde of the undead. With the odds stacked against them, the group must also contend with paranoia and infighting as they gear up for an impossible battle.

The Walking Dead Season 10 premieres Sunday , Oct. 6 at 9/8c on AMC.
