Prepared to be haunted by another disturbing piece of history.

AMC has revealed the trailer for the second season of The Terror, which has been subtitled Infamy. The video begins with the words of FDR's post-Pearl Harbor speech ringing out in the wake of the World War II-era invasion, as Japanese-American citizens are shown being rounded up and placed in internment camps.

"We come all the way over the ocean, but we are not safe," one character says in response to being handed a loyalty test. "They see us as rats."

It's not just the eerie relevance of this moment to the modern political arena that makes this imagery crawl right under the skin; as the trailer shows, the story will also dive into some supernatural scares to compliment the real-life horrors being explored, with a malevolent force (a legendary shape-shifting spirit) killing off members of the community within the camp.

The new season stars real-life internment camp survivor George Takei as Yamato-san, a former fishing captain and community elder, alongside Derek Mio, Kiki Sukezane, Cristina Rodlo, Shingo Usami, Naoko Mori, and Miki Ishikawa.

The Terror: Infamy will premiere on Monday, Aug. 12 at 9/8c on AMC
