At Sunday's packed Comic-Con panel for Supernatural, stars Jared PadaleckiJensen AcklesMisha Collins, Mark A. Sheppard and executive producer Jeremy Carver gathered to discuss the series entering its 10th season this fall. That will make 10 years of Sam and Dean fighting demons (and each other), 10 years of driving around in a '67 Impala and 10 years of "Carry On Wayward Son."

What else can we expect? Check out the highlights below for the scoop:

Comic-Con 2014: Get all the latest news

Sam's reaction In an episode that Ackles directed, we see what happens when Sam (Padalecki) confronts Demon Dean (Ackles). Let's just say that Sam proves that he still has lightning-fast reflexes when Dean takes what looks to be a pickax at him. Dean's eyes are blacker than black!

The trajectories Carver said that Sam must figure out "how to rescue his brother from being a demon" while Demon Dean "struggles to figure out who the real monster is."

Impala rights "Demon Dean gets the car, but unfortunately Demon Dean doesn't care as much about the car as regular Dean does," Ackles said.

Dean bondage! Ackles explained that Demon Dean is different because he's not just a "meat suit" being possessed. "This is Dean's soul, but it's twisted," he said. But was it easier to direct himself as Dean or Demon Dean? "[In the first episode], Demon Dean was easier because he's tied up most of the time," he said.

Castiel's priorities "Castiel's grace is fading," Collins said. "He's getting weaker and a lot less fun, but early on the season the most important thing for Castiel ... is to get Dean patched up more than recovering his own powers."

Crowley's dilemma "No one's ever going to believe that Crowley didn't know what was going to happen," Sheppard said. "We'll see if Crowley has any control at all or if he's in charge." Ackles added, "At some point Crowley is going to say, 'This was a bad, bad idea.'"

Supernatural Season 10 Scoop: A "different" Demon Dean

200th episode Carver described the landmark episode in November as  "musical-ish" and a "love letter to the fans."

Demon Dean sings! "Technically in the season opener there's singing and music involved ... and a little rump-shaking," Ackles said. Apparently Demon Dean likes to karaoke... or does he? I just don't know anymore.

Isn't it bromantic?  Ackles addressed why Dean always seems to have fun bromances with Castiel, Crowley, etc.: "Everybody wants a piece of Dean. He's just the guy to have around in a jam." "Or if you want to jam," Collins said. Ackles added, "I don't know why the bromancing or the romancing of ladies always falls into Dean's court." Padalecki had his own theory. "[In the pilot], it was set up that Sam always wanted to be a homebody, and Dean was Han Solo, a swashbuckler... it still echoes in our current season. Dean has more relationships outside of Sam than Sam does [with Dean].

Supernatural: Our wish list for Season 10

Kevin returns (sort of) Kevin Tran (Osric Chau) makes a surprise appearance at the panel as a fan who asks Carver when Kevin will ever return, but it seems that he'll remain dead for now.

Girl power Carver promised that there will be "a very healthy dose of new and returning very powerful female characters this season." Padalecki quipped, "The network and studio decided that Crowley is ambiguous enough that he could be a she."

Deadly Demon Dean Ackles revealed that in this week alone on set, Demon Dean beat up at least three different guys and killed at least two.

Supernatural kicks off its 10th season on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 9/8c on The CW. The night before, a special Supernatural documentary looking back on the previous nine seasons will air at 9/8c.
