Apple TV+ is adding another show to its already stacked lineup. The streaming service has picked up the international limited series Masters of the Air, TV Guide has learned. The show will serve as a follow-up to HBO's acclaimed 2001 limited series Band of Brothers and its 2010 companion piece The Pacific. This is the first series to be produced in studio at Apple.

Per the official description, the series follows the "true, deeply personal story of the American bomber boys in World War II who brought the war to Hitler's doorstep."

Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and Gary Goetzman, who previously worked together for HBO parent series, will reunite to executive produce the project, which is based on the novel by Donald L. Miller. It will be written by Band of Brothers' John Orloff, who will also serve as an executive producer.

The series joins an elite slate of shows headed to Apple, including daytime talk show drama The Morning Show, starring Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Steve Carell; the apocalyptic drama See with Jason Momoa; and the period comedy Dickinson, starring Hailee Steinfeld.
