Sleepy Hollow Mega Buzz: Rescuing Abbie Won't Be Easy

Getting Abbie (Nicole Beharie) back will be harder than Ichabod (Tom Mison) anticipated when Sleepy Hollow returns.

Unlike other major Sleepy cliff-hangers - Ichabod being buried alive, Abbie getting trapped in Purgatory - this won't be a quick fix for the Witnesses. The drama will pick up one month after Abbie disappeared and Ichabod, Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood) and Joe (Zach Appelman) are no closer to discovering her whereabouts. In fact, nearly the entire winter premiere is Abbie-less, which means Ichabod has to get a (temporary) new partner.

He winds up teaming up with Agent Foster (Jessica Camacho), the former undercover agent who was working for Reynolds, when they're both contacted by a mysterious force that may be related to Abbie's disappearance. Of course, nothing in Sleepy Hollow is ever what it seems.

Sleepy Hollow returns Friday at 8/7c on Fox.
