Unlike Mila Kunis, Justin Timberlake and Linda Hamilton, Scarlett Johansson has declined her YouTube invite to the Nov. 10 Marine Corps Ball — doing so with the utmost graciousness.

In a statement to Zap2it, she says she is "incredibly honored" by the invitation and praises would-be date Sgt. Dustin L. Williams' "cheeky talent for filmmaking." However, she cites "prior commitments" that will keep her from attending the dance as his date.

As a consolation, the 26-year-old Johansson says that she's sending Williams a case of Moet & Chandon "with gratitude."

"In my absence, I raise a glass to you and all the men and women of the U.S. Marine Corps, past and present, in thanks for your continued commitment to preserving the safety of our nation," her statement continues.

But don't cry for Williams, as he previously told the site, "If I was told she could not attend, I would understand. I would not believe the invitation would be denied without good cause. With her current career I would imagine Scarlett Johansson is a busy woman."
