Two celebs we never thought would be duking it out in a singing competition? Roseanne and Fergie. That's the face-off the Internet is obsessed with today though, all thanks to Fergie's recent performance of the national anthem.
Fergie opened the NBA All-Star game on Sunday night with a sultry — and kind of cringeworthy — rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner" that had everyone wishing for earplugs. Naturally, Twitter was ripe with criticism for the dreadful rendition, and Roseanne Barr even decided to chime in with her opinion.
"Who saw Fergie's national anthem performance at the NBA All Star Game? I think mine was better lowkey," Barr tweeted.
For those of you who don't remember, Roseanne performed an instantly infamous mockery of the national anthem at a Padres game in 1990, screaming her way through the whole thing. Though the comparison here is obviously a joke, you kind of have to ask yourself... was Roseanne's actually better? At least her "misfire" was on purpose.
