At long last we finally know who will be playing Iron Fist in the fourth series from the prosperous collaboration between Netflix and Marvel. Game of Thrones actor Finn Jones, who appeared as Ser Loras Tyrell on HBO's popular fantasy series, will take on the role of Danny Rand, a.k.a. Iron Fist, according to Entertainment Weekly, though the casting was first reported as a rumor on That Hashtag Show.

The character first appeared in Marvel comics in the 1970s and is a master of the martial arts. He has the mystical power of the Iron Fist, which gives him the ability to focus his chi and enhance his natural abilities to extraordinary levels.

Game of Thrones is straight up trolling us about Jon Snow now

Like Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), and Luke Cage (Mike Colter) before him, Iron Fist will be the subject of his own series on Netflix before all four characters come together for a Defenders series. Currently, there is no word on when to expect what we're just going to assume will be called Marvel's Iron Fist. Season 2 of Marvel's Daredevilpremieres March 18 on the streaming service, while Marvel's Luke Cage is expected to debut later this year. A second season of Marvel's Jessica Joneshas already been ordered.

What do you think of Jones' casting?
