The Legacies Cast Tests How Well They Know The Vampire Diaries Universe

Do vampires need to breathe? Can Originals compel hybrids? These are the questions hardcore fans of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals can answer at the drop of the hat. But what about the actors themselves? Now that Legacies, the latest series set in the same universe, has finally returned for Season 2, it's time for another round of TV Guide's Legacies or Lies.

In a hard-hitting game meant to test just how well this cast knows the rules regarding vampires, witches, werewolves, and all the monsters in between, we asked them to distinguish true bits of the TVD-verse mythology from fake ones. And boy were the results hilarious!

Last year, Vampire Diaries alum Matthew Davis and newcomer Kaylee Bryant dominated Legacies or Lies, proving no one knows these shows quite like them. This year, however, the cast proved they've done their homework, with a few surprising high scores in the bunch. While Bryant dominated again (curses, we were sure we'd created a few that could stump this expert!), Chris Lee, who plays Kaleb, snagged a surprising second place. Danielle Rose Russell, who plays Hope Mikaelson, also vastly improved on her score from last year! Be honest, Danielle, you studied up, didn't you?
