Keck's Exclusives First Look: Revenge's Emily and Daniel Say "I Do"

In a glass-framed Palos Verdes, Calif., chapel on a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the cast of ABC's Revenge has gathered for the wedding of Emily Rebecca Thorne (Emily VanCamp) and Daniel Edward Grayson (Josh Bowman), which will air on the Dec. 15 midseason finale. "From the moment we met, I knew this was in our destiny," the bride tells her betrothed in front of a congregation that includes best man Conrad (Henry Czerny) and maid of honor Charlotte (Christa B. Allen). "Thanks for letting me into your life...into your family. Today we share a bond that's unbreakable. Till death parts us..."

While the ceremony and reception go off mostly without a hitch, it's on the newlyweds' doomed honeymoon cruise to Nantucket — with Emily's in-laws onboard — where the bride's nefarious plan to take down the Graysons goes seriously awry. No one will die by the end of the episode, says executive producer Sunil Nayar, but — as teased in September's season premiere — Emily gets shot. The culprit is a bold, gutsy choice that will change everything. "This really is the culmination of the last two and a half years of Revenge plotting," says Gabriel Mann, whose Nolan walks the bride down the aisle. "This wedding and the aftermath are setting us up for a darker tone," VanCamp says. "Emily is going to be helpless for a little bit, which is something we haven't seen."

The reveal, says VanCamp, is "incredibly shocking — certainly not anything Emily was expecting." So who gives Ms. Thorne the biggest surprise of her life? Here are six likely suspects:

Patrick Osbourne
Victoria's son (Justin Hartley) already tried to kill Conrad, and producers have said the character is capable of doing anything to protect his mom.

Kara Clarke
Having been left off the guest list, might Emily's disturbed mom return, once again off her meds and seeking vengeance?

Sara Munello
Daniel's ex (Annabelle Stephenson) can't get back with her true love unless Emily is out of the picture for good.

A member of the Grayson family
If Emily's true identity and revenge plan are finally exposed, the most logical shooter would be someone from this diabolical clan.

Lydia Davis
Conrad's mistress, who was ­recently revealed to be alive, might wish to send someone else to the grave.  

Mason Treadwell
One of Emily's few targets to survive has been in prison. Maybe he'll be paroled in time to shoot the woman who sent him there.
