Talk about a glow-up!
[Warning: The following contains spoilers for the finale of Game of Thrones. Read at your own risk!]
One of the best parts about watching a movie or TV series that takes 10 years to get from start to finish is, without a doubt, the surprise stud that comes out of nowhere. For Harry Potter, it was Neville Longbottom (Matthew Lewis), who started out as quite possibly the most awkward 11-year-old kid in Gryffindor but by the end had us asking for Gryffin-more. Weirdly enough, Game of Thrones fans experienced a similar phenomenon with Robin Arryn (Lino Facioli).
We first met Robin in Season 1, Episode 5, "The Wolf and the Lion," as he sat on his mother's lap in the Eyrie, still drinking straight from the breast as a nearly-adolescent boy. Yikes. In later seasons, Game of Thrones did its best to depict Robin as a gangly-looking kid who was easily malleable and, frankly, a little off-putting. The Game of Thrones series finale, however, pulled a fast one by reintroducing Robin Arryn at the council to determine justice for Tyrion Lannister (and ultimately appoint a new king or queen) as a seriously hot Lord of Westeros, who can totally get it. Talk about a glow-up!
Twitter had a similar reaction upon noticing "Hot Robin Arryn," and the thirst tweets were real.

Naturally, one does not become a viral internet sensation and stay ignorant of said thirst tweets, and so Lino Facioli was in for a bit of a shock when he checked back into the Twitterverse. Linking to yours truly, Facioli commented on Twitter's new fascination with him and his character Robin Arryn saying, "Definitely didn't expect my morning to start off like this..."
Neither did we, Lino. Neither did we.
In an interview with Buzzfeed, Facioli said he was surprised by the immediate, viral reaction to his character. "I find the whole thing quite amusing really," he said. "I gained more followers in a night than I had in my whole time having Instagram. It just kept on going up and up and up, and that still seems to be the case... Honestly, I just kind of laugh and sort of just act as humble as possible."
