As soon as viewers started tweeting about how much CBS's scary new drama Evil gave them the creeps, the network knew it had a hit. The psychological mystery, which examines the origins of wickedness, has been renewed for Season 2, CBS announced Tuesday.
Created by Michelle and Robert King, Evil boasts solid ratings Thursday nights, averaging just over 7.1 million viewers each week, according to the network. Katja Herbers stars as forensics psychologist Kristen Bouchard and Mike Colter stars as Catholic Church occult observer David Acosta.
Of the five freshman series the Eye Network rolled out this fall, Evil is the only one to get a second season so far. But fans of the new courtroom drama All Rise and comedies Bob Hearts Abishola, The Unicorn and Carol's Second Act shouldn't worry. All four series have received full-season orders.
Evil airs Thursdays at 10/9c on CBS.
