The combined powers have some powerful abilities

It took seven episodes of Marvel's Cloak & Dagger but Tandy (Olivia Holt) and Tyrone (Aubrey Joseph) are finally going to use their combined powers -- and it has some trippy, emotional effects. TV Guide has an exclusive sneak peek at Episode 7 where Tandy and Tyrone have combined their powers of darkness and light to revisit the night of the rig collapse... kind of.

The scene starts with Tandy talking to a now-coherent-though-a-bit-forgetful Ivan Hess (Tim Kang), whom we last saw in a catatonic state. Tandy tries to remind him about Mina (Ally Maki) but he seems to be unaware that he's a father. He only really pays attention to Tandy when she mentions her father, Noah.

"You mean the guy on the phone?"

Marvel's Cloak & Dagger Mega Buzz: Can We Trust Tandy's New Ally?

It's then Tandy realizes that Ivan was the guy her father called in the pilot episode right before the rig collapsed into the water and caused the explosion that killed Noah and gave Tandy and Tyrone their powers. Just then the phone rings, and when Tandy picks up, it's her father on the other end.

Obviously, when Ty and Tandy combined their powers they didn't go literally back in time, but it has created some sort of time bridge where Tandy could talk to her dead father. Can he give her the answers she desperately wants from beyond the grave? How will it affect the present where Tandy is trying to take down those at Roxxon responsible for covering up Noah's death? What else can Tandy and Tyrone do when darkness and light come together?

Marvel's Cloak & Dagger airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Freeform.
