What were the cable net's execs smoking when they decided to bring back the running-on-fumes marijuana-com for a seventh season? Despite the fact that the action's flashed forward three years, nothing mind-blowing — or remotely interesting — is happening: Ex-con Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker, looking even more bored than usual) is living in a Manhattan halfway house, returning to a life of crime and hiding out from her family.

Considering her sons are a narcissist and a psycho and her ex-brother-in-law is a loafer, who can blame her? The whole Botwin clan — and this show — went to pot long ago.
