Weeds' Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker) has been through a lot since her husband passed away, from having guns pointed at her to burning down her own home and fleeing town as a single mom. On Monday's episode, however, she'll finally meet a man to match her wits, work and passion. Her new fiery love interest, Esteban Reyes, is the Tijuana mayor, and played by Mexican superstar Demian Bichir. While fairly new to U.S.-specific audiences, Bichir's stint on Weeds and upcoming film projects (including several for Steven Soderbergh) should place him firmly on the American map.In the meantime, the actor spoke to TVGuide.com about how he came to join Weeds, what we can expect from the Mayor and just how hot the passion will get between him and Nancy. Another week, and another fine installment of the rebooted Weeds. Let's get on to the recap!Guillermo sent his burgeoning apprentice, Nancy, to Tijuana to test her skills as a drug smuggler. Nancy does not realize the extent of the Guillermo's manipulation, as she is blinded by the $10,000 that he's seductively waving in front of her wagging eyes. In a mysterious moment, Guillermo gives Nancy a seemingly harmless Jesus bobblehead for display in her car. Nancy's instructions involve getting her car's tail-light fixed (an accident which Guillermo caused) as a cover for a "drug pick-up" from Guillermo's cousin on the other side of the border. After an awkward encounter with the "mechanic", Nancy is stuck in traffic for re-entry to the United States. During this humorous sequence Nancy:• Buys $50 worth of cheap merchandise solely for the purpose of getting her favorite iced coffees.• Offends a mother in a neighboring car when attempting to offer a chunky child spare... read more

See, I told you it was good stuff. Monday night's Season 4 Weeds premiere delivered 1.35 million total viewers — a 64 percent larger audience than the previous season opener — and in turn gave Showtime it's highest rated telecast ever (or at least since 2004, when the ratings for SHO1 started getting broken down).
