So... you think you have relationship problems? Well, did you kill your S.O.'s daughter?

Blindspot returns from break Friday to answer the big question on everyone's minds: What the heck happened in Berlin? NBC's thriller hung from a cliff last month, leaving us with Weller's (Sullivan Stapleton) confession that he killed Jane's (Jaimie Alexander) daughter. And we've been waiting for details on that for weeks.

Presumably, we'll get an answer from Weller, but for the newlyweds things won't be easy. "It's going to be rough," Blindspot creator Martin Gero tells TV Guide of the aftermath of Weller's confession.

"It's a very emotional story, obviously, and I don't want to give too much away, because I think people really deserve to -- it's a really big part of the story and they should just watch it," he told us at the Television Critics Association winter press tour, where he was on hand to promote his new show Deception. "I think we deal with it really well, we dedicate a lot of time to it in that episode back, but it's a hard thing to get over. It's a really hard thing to get over. And how #Jeller mends is a really interesting and beautiful story, and you have that to look forward to in the next few episodes."

In those next few episodes, we can expect the pair to work on their fractured relationship, which has seen both of them in different points of power over the course of the show's seasons. The back half of Season 3 will see them try to find equilibrium once again and get past this.

"Ideally, for a relationship to work you want balance, so this season it's about them trying to find that," Gero says. "Find that balance with each other despite all of their secrets."

Looking even further ahead, Gero talked about the Season 3 finale. And from the sounds of it, it's going to be divisive.

"Some people will be elated, some people will be heartbroken [with the finale]," he told TV Guide. "I think it's got a twist that's going to keep you on the hook all summer."

Would you expect anything else from this show?
