Offbeat comedy has its roots in some fantasy world of the future where man is pitted against machinery and automation. Warner is an eccentric fellow more concerned with cultivating mushrooms than working or paying attention to his wife-to-be, Black. He takes a job in a power plant, knocks out the entire city's power, and feeds the authorities his mushrooms, sending them into hallucinogenic bliss. He then is able to escape with Black and a baby carriage loaded with mushrooms. Occasionally hilarious but without much direction or purpose.
