Where Angels Go---Trouble Follows! Reviews

Here we have an attempt to create a drama around the conflict between the traditional, rigid values of the Roman Catholic church and the liberalism of the 1960s. As the mother superior, Russell represents the old ways, while the young, rebellious Stevens tries to introduce new teaching methods in their convent school. According to this picture, the major thing to emerge from this reevaluation of traditions is that nuns get to wear shorter skirts. The shallowness of the story is an insult to the capable performers, who are never given an opportunity to demonstrate their talents. A sequel to THE TROUBLE WITH ANGELS (1966).
