War Italian Style Reviews

Poor comedy starring Keaton, in one of his last film appearances, as a German general stationed in Italy on the eve of the Allied invasion in WW II. Two American soldiers, Franchi and Ingrassia, plot to steal the Nazi offensive strategy plans, but the Nazis plant a false set of documents for them. Luckily for the Allies, the Germans had accidentally planted the real invasion plans, which makes the invasion all the easier. When the Allies arrive on Anzio, the two soldiers are captured by Keaton's men, but they fool the befuddled old general and escape by disguising themselves as Hitler and an SS general. Taking pity on Keaton, the men dress him up as a scarecrow and help him escape as well.
