Vampire Circus Reviews

Stylish Hammer horror film about a strange circus that arrives in a small Serbian village to enact an elaborate and horrible revenge on the townsfolk who murdered their relative, an evil vampire-count, 100 years before. Soon after the circus' arrival, a mysterious plague forces the village to be separated from the outside world, leaving the townsfolk at the mercy of the macabre performers. Soon the vampire circus members, who can, at will, transform themselves into animals, horribly murder many of the burg's leading citizens. Eventually a full-scale battle between the remaining townsfolk and the vampires ensues, resulting in the bloody staking and decapitation of the undead leader of the fiends. The plot is somewhat overly complicated, but the production values are high, and the film has some truly chilling moments.
