Unmarried Reviews

Sentimentality seeps through the screen in this harmless melodrama about a has-been fighter, Jones (in his first non-western role for some time), and a prohibition-affected nightclub owner, Twelvetrees, who find themselves with little left in life. They head for the home of Jones' recently killed former manager and live there. When the dead man's young son arrives home from school they vow to take care of him, sending him through high school and college, gearing him up for a career in the ring...just like Dad. The youngster, Donald O'Connor, in real life grew up to gain fame singing and dancing.
