Effective and touching examination of the plight of the Chinese-occupied Himalayan country features interviews, personal recollections, archival films and photos. Martin Sheen is the narrator and voiceovers are provided by Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins, Ed Harris and Shirley Knight. Tom Peosay directed, produced and did the cinematography, which was shot over a period of 10 years.
