Thrill of a Lifetime Reviews

Silly musical starring Erickson as the manager of "Camp Romance," a retreat where people go to fine-tune their romantic skills. Grable plays Erickson's secretary who is in love with her boss, but hides her beauty behind an unappealing hairdo and thick glasses. While Erickson puts the finishing touches on a musical he has written, Grable decides to get her man and miraculously transforms herself into a real looker to get the boss's attention. In the end she gets her man, Erickson sees his musical performed, and the audience is treated to tunes sung by The Yacht Club Boys, Judy Canova, and Dorothy Lamour (in a cameo appearance). Songs include: "Keeno, Screeno and You," "I'll Follow My Baby," "Thrill of a Lifetime," "Paris in Swing," "Sweetheart Time" (Sam Coslow, Frederick Hollander), "It's Been a Whole Year," "If We Could Run the Country for a Day" (The Yacht Club Boys).
