Light fare for O'Connor features him as a soldier in love with Foster, but she has a schoolgirl crush on the much older Knowles, whom she follows to New York City. O'Connor follows in turn and runs into Albritton, Knowles' ex-wife, who still loves him. O'Connor maneuvers the two back together and wins Foster for himself. O'Connor is not as peppy as usual, but works well under the lively direction. This was adapted from a stage play by Sinclair Lewis and KING KONG star Fay Wray, and not too surprisingly on Wray's part, since her first husband was screenwriter Robert Riskin, her second was playwright-screenwriter John Monk Saunders, and she had written several plays herself. Songs include: "Gremlin Walk," "It's the Girl," "Yippee-I-Vot" (Inez James, Sidney Miller), "With a Song in My Heart" (Richard Rodgers, Lorenz Hart), "All or Nothing at All" (Jack Lawrence, Arthur Altman), "You're a Lollapalooza" (Bill Grage, Grace Shannon), "At Sundown" (Walter Donaldson), "L'Amour Toujours L'Amour" (Rudolph Friml, Catherine Chisholm Cushing).
