The Violent Ones Reviews

A story whose underlying theme speaks out against prejudice in a less than original and inventive style. Lamas, who also directed, stars as the sheriff in a small Mexican village where Marx (daughter of Groucho) is brutally raped and later dies. The only evidence is that the assailant was a gringo, so Lamas rounds up the three in the vicinity and tries to ward off an angry mob of villagers, stirred up by the victim's father. Carradine (son of John) proves to be the rape-murderer. All the gringos hate the Mexicans and vice-versa, making the characters seem shallow and the story callous.
