A good British comedy about a housemaster in a British public (that is, private) school. The housemaster, Kruger, is a kind person with a good understanding of the problems that face his boys. A new headmaster comes to the school, a stern and unmovable man who cannot understand Kruger's techniques or his importance to his boys. The headmaster is constantly on Kruger's back, and when a couple of the boys rebel the headmaster tries to dismiss him. With some fancy footwork by some of Kruger's boys, it is the headmaster who gets transferred, not Kruger.
