The Guilty Generation Reviews

THE GUILTY GENERATION updates "Romeo and Juliet" into a 1930s gangster setting. The story involves two rival gangster families, headed by Karloff on one side and Carrillo on the other. They had been partners at one time, but their split set into motion a war that has been slowly killing off both families. Carrillo's daughter, Cummings, renounces her father's activities and falls in love with Karloff's son, Young. Fearful that Carrillo will kill Young, Cummings keeps their love a secret. The two lovers wed hastily as the bloodshed mounts, but it is not until after the ceremony that Carrillo learns the true identity of Young. Carrillo is set on killing Young to avenge the death of his son, but is prevented when his own aged mother shoots him dead.
