Set during the 1900s, Marion Davies is genuinely funny as a shy Florodora gal who eventually falls under the spell of a loving millionaire. The plot isn't that far removed from Davies' own encounters as William Randolph Hearst's celebrated mistress. Intriguing mainly for Davies' name, it contains such tunes as "My Kind Of Man," "Pass The Beer And Pretzels," "Swingin' In The Lane," and a dazzling Technicolor stage sequence of "Tell Me Pretty Maiden" by Owen Hall and Leslie Stuart.
