An average, ultimately forgettable picture about a drug kingpin, Vince Edwards, who traffics his goods through an unsuspecting country music band as they tour the South. Helping Ewards put pressure on the good ol' boys are his thugs, Charles Dierkop and Robert Tessier. Federal Drug Enforcement agents are soon on the trail, led by Richard Jaeckel and his pretty assistant Julie Hill. Filled with an ample amount of guitar twanging and speeding cars, THE FIX is yet another addition to the oeuvre of veteran director Will Zens, famous among southern drive-ins for blistering artistic statements such as HOT SUMMER IN BAREFOOT COUNTY and TRUCKIN' MAN.
