An honest politician emerges in this screen fare about a WW II vet, Terry, who is persuaded by the powers in town to run for alderman. Reluctantly he agrees, but then, his hackles up because of the pressure put on him, he rebels and exposes a crooked political setup in town. The grateful voters elect him to office and hope for the best.
