The Blood Spattered Bride Reviews

This lesbian vampire tale, loosely based on Sheridan LeFanu's classic novella Carmilla, features Martin as a frigid newlywed who is seduced by a mysterious stranger Bastedo--who turns out to be (wouldn't you know it?) a vampiress. The story, which has been done a dozen times (most notably in Carl Dreyer's classic VAMPYR, Hammer's THE VAMPIRE LOVERS, and Harry Kuemel's DAUGHTERS OF DARKNESS), gets the standard Spanish treatment here, with plenty of bizarre and incongruous imagery amid all the sex and gore.
