Tammy and the Doctor Reviews

A rich lady is in the hospital, and her naive backwoods companion, Dee, gets a nurse's aide job to take care of her. Her lack of knowledge gets her into trouble with the nurses, but she has a winning way with people. Even tough head nurse Lindsay likes her, while Fonda takes a special liking to her. But Fonda's ideas are put on ice when he is warned by his stoic boss, Carey, that any romantic notions about Dee will cost him his job. To complicate the plot, Lindsay is in love with Carey. Dee tries to bring them together, but Lindsay resigns. Dee helps save the old woman's life, and Carey admits his love for Lindsay, so Fonda and Dee can live happily ever after. This was the third in a series four "Tammy" pictures that began with TAMMY in 1957, and probably the worst of the bunch. It was followed by TAMMY AND THE MILLIONAIRE in 1967. This was Fonda's film debut.
